Jennifer Palinchik
President, JALEX Medical, LLC
Before Jennifer Palinchik co-founded medical device company JALEX, she performed artificial pancreas and kidney stem-cell research for animal studies and clinical trials.
A specialist in the spine industry, Palinchik expanded her knowledge to include neurology, general surgery and 3D printing. She works with the Food and Drug Administration to achieve clearance for related devices.
JALEX has seen strong year-over-year growth under Palinchik’s direction. She’s developed partnerships with other medical device companies to bring products to market as joint ventures and also expanded the company’s offerings from design engineering to regulatory affairs and quality management solutions.
“I knew she would be the one that I would work with in the future on putting an FDA submission together. I was impressed by her knowledge and expertise with the regulatory process and appreciated her understanding of a startup company’s needs,” said Karl West, director of Medical Device Solutions for the Cleveland Clinic.
About 80% of the engineers Palinchik has hired at JALEX are women. In 2018, Cleveland State University selected her as a panelist for a discussion on advancing the role of women in science, technology, engineering, the arts and math.
